On May 19-20, 2017, Hong Kong Federation of Invention (HKFii), China Association of Inventions (CAI) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) co-organized the “2017 Chinese International Invention Expo (2017 CIIEXpo) and the “2017 Young Genius (HK) Convention (2017 YGC (HK))”at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. The biocide-free germ-repellent plastic polyethylene resin by Ka Shui Group in collaboration with Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited (NAMI) was awarded the Gold Medal in this invention expo.

On May 30, 2017, the Hong Kong based Ming Pao reported the innovative “Biocide-free Germ-repellent” technology being developed by Ka Shui Group. The said plastics can achieve non-toxic and germ-repellent without additives. It can be applied to the baby products, sports water bottle and other containers in the future.

Biocide-free germ-repellent plastic being awarded Gold Medal in the Chinese International Invention Expo and interviewed by Ming Pao symbolize the technology of biocide-free germ-repellent plastic and also acknowledge the research and innovation capability of Ka Shui Group. Ka Shui Group will accelerate the production and strive to bring the biocide-free germ-repellent plastic technology to the market. This new plastic can be possibly applied to the fields including food packing, baby supplies, medical and health care among others.
