The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (“HKIE”) celebrated its 50th anniversary milestone in 2025. On 3rd April, 2025, HKIE hosted a Grand 50th Annual Dinner to celebrate this historic achievement. It was honored to invite Mr. John K C Lee , GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mr. Wu Xiuzhang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China; Mr. Ye Shuiqiu, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Bao Haibin, Counsellor of The Commissioner’s Office of China’s Foreign Ministry in the HKSAR; along with many senior officials of the HKSAR to the dinner. Over 1,800 distinguished guests, including local and international leaders, representatives from professional organizations and industry elites, gathered to witness this significant moment.

Meanwhile, Ka Shui Group’s Magnesium Alloys applications was awarded with merit‌ in the ‌Industrial Category‌ of the "Legacy Award" during the HKIE’s 50th anniversary celebrations, further underscoring its exceptional accomplishment in the engineering sector. This honor not only recognizes Ka Shui Group’s ‌technical strength but also pays tribute to HKIE for its 50-year dedication to advancing engineering innovation and progress.
