From 10th to 11th October, 2025, the Working Group Meeting for the formulation of the national standard "Plastics—Test Method of Anti-Bacterial Adhesion on the surface" (Project No.: 20240010-T-607) was held at the Ka Shui Technology Park in Daya Bay District, Huizhou, Guangdong Province, after being reviewed by the Aging Methods Sub-Technical Committee of the National Plastics Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC15/SC5). This meeting was hosted by Ka Fung Industrial Technology (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. ("Ka Fung Industrial"), the lead drafting and formulation unit for this national standard. This marks the first time Ka Fung Industrial has been granted the authority to take the lead in formulating a national standard, representing a historic leap from being a technical practitioner to the industry rule maker.
The working group meeting gathered experts, scholars, and industry representatives from plastic standardization technical committees across the country to conduct in-depth discussions on the draft standard of the core technical content, with the focus on validating key issues such as the scientific basis of the test method, the standardization of the operational procedures, and the precision of result determination. The goal is to establish a scientific, unified, and authoritative industry evaluation criterion, laying a solid foundation for regulating market order and leading industrial upgrades.
As a subsidiary of Ka Shui International Holdings Limited (Stock Code: 00822.HK), Ka Fung Industrial leveraged its deep technical expertise in advanced materials and keen market insight to successfully lead the project initiation and take the primary responsibility for drafting the national standard. This achievement not only highlights the technological strength of Ka Shui Group but also serves as strong evidence of the Group's industry leadership being recognized at the national level. According to the future plans of the Secretariat of the Standards Committee, after the standard being released and implemented, it will be registered as an ISO international standardization, laying a solid foundation for Chinese products to enter the international market.
