Ka Shui Technology and Huitian Aerospace Jointly Honored with Gold Casting Award at the 2026 Shanghai International Diecasting Exhibition
On 15th July 2026, the results of the Gold Casting Selection at the 2026 Shanghai International Diecasting & Nonferrous Casting Exhibition were officially announced. The magnesium alloy electric control box housing for flying cars, jointly submitted by Ka Shui Technology (Huizhou) Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary of Ka Shui International Holdings Ltd. (Stock Code: 00822)— and its strategic partner Guangdong Huitian Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd., for evaluation has been honored with the "Gold Casting Award" by the organizing committee. This recognition stands as a solid testament to both parties' leading intelligent manufacturing strength in the lightweight component sector for the low-altitude economy through its advanced lightweighting process and reliable aviation-grade performance.
The entered magnesium alloy electric control box housing targets two core challenges brought by the high integration of aircraft: weight reduction and reliability. Supported by 4000-ton large-scale high-pressure die-casting equipment, the R&D team has delivered comprehensive technological breakthroughs across three dimensions — material selection, structural process and manufacturing assurance — and achieved a dual leap in lightweight performance and high reliability. By adopting high-grade lightweight magnesium alloy, the product breaks through the process bottleneck of large-size box die casting, and achieves ultra-thin wall forming at 1.5–2.5 mm, drastically cutting weight at the source. Meanwhile, the innovative multi-light-metal nested die-casting process effectively solves long-standing industry pain points including difficult thin-wall forming and sealing failure. By further integrating light alloy die-casting insert configuration, high-performance composite coating anti-corrosion technology and multi-material assembly solutions, the team successfully addresses the anti-corrosion challenge of magnesium alloy and ultimately delivers an integrated design that balances lightweight performance, high reliability and corrosion resistance.
More notably, with this award marking a key milestone, Ka Shui’s cooperation with Huitian Aerospace on the application of flame-retardant magnesium alloy new materials in the aviation field has entered a brand-new phase. Based on the solid foundation established through previous joint verification, both sides have officially launched a new round of on-board testing and validation cooperation for flame-retardant magnesium alloy for application of flight electric control boxes. Ka Shui’s self-developed KSFR series flame-retardant magnesium alloys (KSFR-2 / KSFR-3) forms a dense and stable composite oxide film, raising the ignition point above 850℃. Without requiring extra gas protection, the material significantly improves safety throughout the entire process of smelting, die casting, machining and polishing, while maintaining the same excellent die-casting formability as conventional magnesium alloys. With thermal conductivity reaching 80–100 W/(m·K), the KSFR series meets heat dissipation requirements while ensuring intrinsic safety, providing a brand-new material solution for the electric control system of flying vehicles that takes safety, lightweight performance and heat transfer efficiency into full consideration.
With nearly 30 years of in-depth experience in magnesium alloy deep processing, Ka Shui has been expanding and laying out the new track of the low-altitude economy, and has established full-process manufacturing capabilities covering magnesium alloy material R&D, precision die casting and surface treatment. Kamay New Material Technology (Yulin) Company Limited, Ka Shui Group's integrated magnesium industry platform located in Yulin, Shaanxi, has built a production capacity of 20,000 tons of magnesium-based lightweight new materials and precision die castings, providing strong support for the large-scale delivery of aviation-grade magnesium alloy components. The simultaneous progress of this award winning project and the new flame-retardant material collaboration perfectly embodies Ka Shui's "Material + Process + Application" trinity innovation model.
Looking ahead, Ka Shui will continue to focus on cutting-edge light alloy technologies, and work hand in hand with Huitian Aerospace to continuously iterate lightweight components for flying cars under the premise of safety, driving the high-quality development of China's low-altitude economy industry. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Guangdong Huitian Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. for its long-standing trust, close collaboration and full support, and look forward to both sides joining hands continuously to create a new future for low-altitude mobility.
