Ka Shui Group’s Lightweight Metal Materials Support VTC Solar Car Team to Win Championship in the World-Class Competition
The Hong Kong Vocational Training Council (“VTC”) Solar Car Team recently clinched the Cruiser Class championship at the 2025 World Solar Challenge in Australia, making a historic breakthrough. Leveraging their self-developed solar-powered car, SOPHIE 8x, the team successfully traversed 3,000 kilometers of desert and wilderness in Australia, outperforming many world-renowned universities’ car teams and showcasing Hong Kong’s excellence in green technology and sustainable engineering. As a key partner of the VTC Solar-powered Car Team, Ka Shui Group provided high-performance lightweight metal material solutions to SOPHIE 8x, including aluminum alloy suspension systems, magnesium alloy mechanical components, accessories, and seat brackets. These materials not only offer lightweight and high-strength properties but also significantly reduced the overall vehicle’s weight, which lowered energy consumption, enhanced solar energy conversion efficiency, and ensured stable performance in extreme environments, while achieving a lower carbon footprint at the same time. On July 16, 2025, Ka Shui Group and Bole Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. officially entered into a strategic partnership agreement at the 19th Shanghai International Die Casting and Nonferrous Alloy Casting Exhibition. Both parties will engage in  in-depth collaboration the research, development, and application of magnesium alloy semi-solid injection molding technology, jointly promoting its innovation and industrial implementation in the field of lightweight manufacturing.  As a global leader in magnesium alloy die casting and lightweight solutions, Ka Shui Group possesses extensive expertise in material development and industrialization across key sectors including intelligent cockpits and electric drive systems for new energy vehicles, 3C consumer electronics, and high-end tools. The delegation led by Miss So Tsz Yin, the Deputy Director of Guangdong ETO of the Government of HKSAR and Huizhou Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment Visited Ka Shui Group
On 24th June, 2025, Miss So Tsz Yin, the Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR)(“GDETO”), along with a team from the Huizhou Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (“HAEFI”), visited Ka Shui Group to enhance their understanding of the development of Hong Kong enterprises. As one of the representatives of Hong Kong enterprises, Ka Shui Group was honored to receive leaders and distinguished guests from the HKSAR Government and the Association.  Mr. Lee Yuen Fat, the Chairman of Ka Shui Group, accompanied by senior management, attended the reception meeting, and took Miss So Tsz Yin, the Deputy Director of GDETO, and her delegation on a tour of Ka Shui Group’s facilities, including the GPT’s low-floor LPG extended-range minibuses, New Energy Vehicle Auto-parts Showroom, 3D Innovation Workshop, Data Center, and Industrial Culture Center, where they gained detailed insights on the core business operations and innovative technologies of Ka Shui Group. Ka Shui Group highly appreciates the concern and support from GDETO and HAEFI.
